Dance teachers wanted in Bournemouth — instructors and choreographers for seaside classes

Bring Your Dancing to the Seaside

Our seaside studio is on the up, and we'd love sharp, generous teachers to rise alongside it. If a paid teaching slot in Bournemouth or freelance coastal choreography is what you're after, we've very likely got the role for you.

Honest Pay

Regular classes start at £22 each hour; hen weekends and first-dance work begin at £25. Forget chasing payments — what you've earned lands in your account on the dot, week after week.

Hours to Fit Your Life

You set the schedule. Go for evenings, lean on weekends, or do a bit of each — the timetable bends to fit your free time. Plenty of our crew teach anywhere from a couple of hours up to ten across a week.

Space to Grow

A friendly, encouraging base with honest pointers, CPD on offer and the freedom to spin up your own sessions. Your wins are our wins, which is why we get behind every teacher we take on.

Dance Jobs Bournemouth FAQ

The things would-be teachers most often ask us before joining Bournemouth Dance Centre.

Do I need a teaching qualification to land dance work in Bournemouth?

You don't need a certificate, though one never hurts. Far more important to us is genuine dance training, time on stage, and the ability to light up a room full of people. Prove you can lead a session that's safe, joyful and properly run, and we'll gladly arrange a conversation.

What hourly pay do instructors earn at Bournemouth Dance Centre?

Teaching a regular class earns £22 hourly to begin with. The specialist gigs — seaside hen weekends and couples' first dances — open at £25. We revisit pay regularly, and it rises the longer you teach with us.

Which dance styles are you hiring teachers for in Bournemouth?

We're after teachers right across our 20-style programme — ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, street, hip-hop, commercial, salsa, bachata, tango, ballroom, heels, K-pop, bollywood, belly dance, flamenco, burlesque, pole, line dancing and Irish. Alongside those, we also bring in hen-weekend leaders and first-dance choreographers for weddings.

Are the roles at Bournemouth Dance Centre employed or freelance?

It's all freelance and built around flexibility. You call the shots on hours — evenings in the week, weekends down by the bay, or a blend of both. Many teachers settle on a handful of hours a week, often somewhere from two up to ten, slotted around the rest of life.

Is it still worth applying if I only teach one style?

For sure. We're happy to bring on a one-style teacher and pair you with the sessions that match what you do best. Knowing a handful of styles just widens your options, yet a single discipline is more than enough at the outset.
